As my husband’s job has necessitated many moves, we have dealt and done business with many realtors. Walt Turner definitely goes the extra mile for his clients. When we were transferred to the Roanoke area we were assigned a realtor by our company. Several times during our home search, we were unsuccessful reaching our realtor to assist us. When we found one that was listed by Walt, we decided to call him with our questions instead of our realtor. He answered right away and responded to our inquiries in a very open and honest manner. We called our company and asked that Walt be assigned as our realtor. His is very knowledgeable, honest, with many resources at his disposal which he uses with great skill. He stays on top of communication.

Although Walt showed us many more homes, we ultimately decided on one. He skillfully negotiated a contract for us. After the purchase, Walt was present at the home inspection. He was there on a mountain top in three feet of snow. Even the inspector called us to rave about Walt’s dedication. We began our search for a new home a year ago. At the time, we were considering relocating to Franklin County but had not yet made a definite decision. During an Open House one Saturday afternoon, we met Walt. Even though we were straight-forward about the fact that we were only considering buying, he treated us with the utmost respect. When we walked away from that house that day, we agreed that if we chose to buy it would be with Walt.

Over the next few months, we remained in contact with Walt even though we were still uncertain. He enthusiastically contacted us about homes he thought would fit our needs and showed us several. There was no time that we ever felt pressured by Walt or that he was impatient with our indecision. Later that fall, we put our house in Patrick County on the market and began to seriously look for our new home.

We believe Walt must have shown us every home within our price range within 25 miles of our target location. He knew the amenities we were looking for and our unique family situation (3 sons, 2 dogs, and a grandmother). When one of us would fall in love with a home, the other would have a complaint about it. I don’t know how he kept his patience with us, but he did. Finally, after a lot of discussion and searching we decided to buy the home in which we first met Walt. It was though we had come full circle!

During our home buying experience, we ALWAYS felt as though Walt had our best interest in mind. He is very knowledgeable, dedicated, and professional. Not only was he our realtor, he has also become our friend. We wholeheartedly recommend Walt to anyone looking to buy and/or sell a home!

I met Walt Turner through a phone call and it turned out to be a very lucky one! The property I was inquiring about was not the right one for my needs but Walt was the right realtor. This man is honest, forthright and most of all he is always a phone call away. I had been scouting out properties for a few weeks on my own and often wouldn’t even get a return call from the listed realtor. Walt was always there wanting to help and not pushy at all. He was just what I needed to save a lot of legwork (& frustration!). We sat down, talked and from that Walt knew exactly what I was looking for. He sent me many possibilities that I could look through in my home and at my own leisure. We looked at a lot of houses, some more than once. Walt was great; he knew the answers to all my questions. He really does his homework.

A short while later we found “The House” and I appreciated Walt even more. He was very professional and kept me well-apprised of all developments. The closing went beautifully and I’m positive the process was much smoother due to Walt’s knowledge of real estate, his availability and his genuine desire to help the client (me!), meet their needs.
